cassie, i am sure that we are sharing brainwaves or something because i have not been able to stop gushing over all things svedish-style lately. i've decided i want to live in everything acne this fall, to be more specific. the proportions are spot on, and the stockholm-based brand has nailed a completely effortless mix between boy and girl that has definitely done right by me. for their autumn/winter 2009 collection, they have interspersed their signature cool with gorgeous and clean lines and some space-age-esque construction. plus i am completely enamored of PLASTIC LEGGINGS (what, yes? please?) and sky-high wedges. sorry i couldn't pick just one.

inspired by the natural beauty and nature of my stockholm native best friend and my stay there last year, i find my self channeling their effortless, tough yet girly cool whenever possible.  the hot pink lips is one borrowed trend i have clung to tightly...especially when my freckles come out.  oh so summer, oh so chic .. and ooh so reminiscent of my beloved lisa frank school supplies.

the takeover

the peeps at public ad campaign attempted to make pretty this city of ours a couple weekends ago, armed with some artists and a whole lot of white paint. after learning that the majority of the ads that spoil our streets are actually illegal, participants in the new york street advertising takeover decided to transform a small part of lower manhattan's billboards with equally illicit, yet much more aesthetically pleasing material.
