the takeover

the peeps at public ad campaign attempted to make pretty this city of ours a couple weekends ago, armed with some artists and a whole lot of white paint. after learning that the majority of the ads that spoil our streets are actually illegal, participants in the new york street advertising takeover decided to transform a small part of lower manhattan's billboards with equally illicit, yet much more aesthetically pleasing material.
